Piedmont Council Shooting Sports Committee
Meet the 2019 Piedmont Council Shooting Sports Committee. Headed up by the Camping and Outdoor Program Chairman Mr. Rick Ayers of Denver in the Heartland District. The team is made up of 5 of the most knowledgeable and experienced Marksman Scouters of the Piedmont Council.
The Shooting Sports Committee is chaired by Mr. Willis Ledbetter of Shelby in the Battleground District. Their responsibility is to lead and direct Piedmont Council Shooting Sports Committee. Responsible for developing and delivering all assigned components of all Piedmont Council Shooting Sports Programs within all Council Properties and promoting safe Shooting Sports programs at the unit level. Assembles a committee from across the Council to support Shooting Sports programs. Assures that all Shooting Sports programs are of the highest quality in content and delivery.
The Vice Chair of Shooting Sports Training is held by Mr. Joseph ‘Pepper’ Smyth of Mooresville in the Gemstone District. They are to oversee all training events offered by the Shooting Sports Committee throughout the council, and build a Training Task Force to hold training opportunities.
The Vice Chair of Shooting Sports Properties is help by Ms. Bette ‘BeBe’ Newton of Rutherfordton in the Chimney Rock District. They are to oversee the ranges at the Piedmont Council Scout Reservation, and build a Properties Task Force to keep and inventory of the ranges and upkeep of their physical properties.
The Vice Chair of Shooting Sports Communications is help by Mr. Joshua Trivett of Shelby in the Battleground District. They are to oversee that events are communicated to both the Council Office and the Committee as a whole.

$10 per Range per group
For Firearms and Equipment:
$7 per Scout at the Archery, and Rifle Ranges
$12 per Scout at the Shotgun Range
