2023-2024 Recharter Cycle

Welcome to 2023-2024 Online Rechartering for the Piedmont Council! All recharters are being processed through internet advancement this year. All recharters must be completed by Friday, December 15th, 2023.

• All usernames and passwords for internet advancement are the same as the Scoutbook platform.
• An instructional video walking users through each step is available below.

Additional Items to Consider:

1. The website for internet advancement is: https://advancements.scouting.org .
2. All adults leaders must have completed (or updated) youth protection training to be registered.
3. Do not hit submit online until you are ready to complete your recharter. After clicking submit, you will not be able to add any additional youth or adults to your roster.
4. The charter fee is $100 per unit; must be paid when you submit your roster online.
5. Only Key 3 members of a unit or the charter representative delegate of the unit has access to recharters. A Key 3 of a unit consists of your charter organization representative (COR), your committee chairperson (CC), and your unit leader (Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, Skipper, Crew Advisor and/or Post Advisor).
6. If the unit wishes to have someone other than the above, the charter organization representative (and only the charter organization representative) can log into https://my.scouting.org, click on the "menu button", click “Organization Manager,” select “Position Manager,” and find “Functional Roles.” Here, you will be able to assign a registered member as the chartered organization representative (COR) delegate position within the unit.
