The Kodiak Challenge is advanced leadership training for young men and women in a high adventure setting, stressing servant leadership and the practical application of ILS, NYLT and NAYLE skills.
This is a hands-on skills course conducted under the open sky, not a classroom. You'll be pushed out of your comfort zone, tested mentally and physically as your leadership skills grow.
Kodiak Challenge is an adventure with a purpose. The Kodiak Challenge isn't for everyone. In order to attend you must be a registered Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venturer or Sea Scout.
Participants must to be at least 14 years old (13 and a half years old and have completed the eighth grade), but not yet 21. In addition, they must have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills Course for their unit type.
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is highly recommended, and National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE) is a plus, as a better understanding of the leadership skills
Kodiak Challenge treks will be determined by the participants.
Kodiak Challenge is not about the trek; it is about leadership skills.
