This event is open for all Scouts in the Piedmont Council!
The Broad River District is excited to be partnering with Gardner-Webb University for the 2025 Scout Weekend! This will be an exciting weekend for everyone involved, and we want YOU to be there!
For Cub Scouts, this will be a day event on November 22, 2025. For Scouts BSA Members, this will be an overnight weekend campout from November 21-23, 2025.
For Cub Scouts:
Cub Scouts will have awesome opportunities on Saturday at the GWU Scout Weekend. We will start Saturday morning off at assembly and then split into our activitiy groups. We will be having Slingshots and Archery for our Range and Target Activities. We will also be working on some of the Personal Fitness requirements for each rank through different Field Games. We will then break for lunch with your family, and meet back at Ernest W. Spangler Stadium, Gardner-Webb's Football Stadium for the game!
For Scouts BSA Troops:
Scouts BSA members will also have awesome opportunities at the GWU Scout Weekend. This will be a weekend overnight campout. We will be camping at Boiling Springs Baptist Church. We will start the morning off at assembly and then split into our activity patrols. We will have campus tours as well as an indoor climbing wall that Scouts can participate in. After these activities, we will go back to our units for lunch, and then meet at Ernest W. Spangler Stadium, Gardner-Webb's Football Stadium for the game!
Cost:
The cost for this event will be $20 for Scouts BSA Members. This includes: camping, the football game, campus tour, climbing wall, and patch. The cost for this event will be $10 for Scouts BSA Adult Leaders. This includes: camping, the football game, campus tour, and patch. The cost for this event will be $10 for Cub Scout Members. This includes: slingshots, archery, field activities, the football game, and the patch. The cost for this event will be $5 for Cub Scout parent(s)/guardian(s). This includes: the football game.
