Come join the fun and learn Outdoor Skills for Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA!

This weekend we will be running BALOO and IOLS courses at Camp Bud Schiele, but separately. This allows us to get to know each other in our different roles and how we can help each other during breaks and meals or cracker barrels. We share some of our staff and administration while enjoying camp.

“Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation” or BALOO is required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including overnighters and Webelos overnighters. BALOO also teaches outdoor skills that the Webelos leader will be teaching scouts as they prepare for Scouts BSA.

BALOO training consists of a pre-requisite online component (you must bring a certificate of completion). To take your online portion of BALOO go to my.scouting,org, BSA Learn Center (the red box on the right side of the page) then click on Expanded Learning, then scroll down to BALOO & click to get started.

 “Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills” or IOLS is a required course to be Trained along with Scoutmaster Specific. IOLS is a hands-on course for Scout BSA Leaders to learn the skills that they will be helping their scouts learn as they progress through their ranks.

Register for either of the courses that you need for your unit below. You will choose one or the other for the entire weekend. Both courses are overnighters.
