Scouts in uniform recieve free entry to the Catawba Valley Gem and Mineral Club's annual show on March 28-30, 2025, at the Hickory Metro Convention Center.
Hours are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Children 12 and under, law enforcement officers, fire department personnel, active or retired military with credentials, as well as scouts and leaders in uniform, receive free admission. General admission is $6.00, valid for all three days.
The exhibit area will feature display cases with minerals from around the world, a “Children’s Mini Mine,” and a “Hands-On Table.” Many professionals in geology and mineralogy will attend, though there will be no organized Geology merit badge presentations.
