Thank you for your interest in courses at the 2023 University of Scouting! Your leadership through training is a key part of what makes the Scouting program great.

Whether you are training for your current role or learning something new, we’ve got a great line-up of classes for you. Sessions are grouped closely to each other to allow for more participant interaction and to ensure you reach your classes on time.

Beyond a day of great training, the University of Scouting offers opportunities for you to network and share stories and ideas with like-minded Scouters. Stop by the Common Area and check out the information about programs in the Piedmont Council.

Pre-Registration is a MUST. Be sure to get classes you want by registering early. (If nobody registers for a class, it may be cancelled.)

Late/Walk-in Registrations received after the October 30 deadline will receive course assignments based on availability of space and instructors, on a first-come, first served basis. Walk-ins are discouraged but not prohibited.

Registration Fee

Basic registration is $20.00, which includes attendance at any of the University of Scouting courses, a patch, lunch, and training materials. Some classes may have an additional fee; they are listed with the course descriptions. Late Registration (After Oct 15) $30

CPR: $65- Red Cross Certification

Basic Schedule

Registration opens at 8:00 am. Classes run from 9:00 am – 3:45 pm. Classes are 75 minutes, variety of sessions. Participant specific schedules will be provided at check-in for pre-registered attendees.

Check-in & Walk-in Registration

All participants and staff must check in at the entrance to the West Wing, where you will receive a schedule and your lunch ticket. You may not attend a class without registering. The Registration Desk will have staff on hand until 1:00 pm to assist you with questions.

Lunch

Lunch is included in the registration cost. We will try to accommodate special dietary needs, please make a note upon registration.
