Looking for that last minute family getaway before school hits full throt­tle? We have what you are looking for. Spend the weekend with your son and family at our beautiful Cub Camp on the Piedmont Scout Reser­vation in Rutherfordton, NC.

While at camp, your family will get to participate in activities such as swimming, rowboats, fishing ,archery, BB guns, hiking and crafts. In conjunction with this event, we will be offering the Archery and BB Belt Loop and Pin.

You can choose to participate in the belt loop/pin program only, en­joy the activities with your family or both. The possibilities are endless! You are free to leave camp and visit local sights as well.

Families are assigned to campsites based on their tent preference. Council-owned wall tents on platforms are provided on a first come, first served basis at a service charge of $2 per tent. Each tent can sleep 3. Cots will not be provided, please bring sleeping mats or camping cots.) However, a family may chose to bring small personal tents. Families cannot split their tent preference. This is NOT a Pack-Sign-up event therefore we cannot guarantee you will be camping with the rest of your pack.

AVAILABLE (Chips, snacks and drinks.)

Cost for camping for the weekend: $30.00 per pair (Cub Scout and Parent/Guardian) and $15.00 for each additional family member. This fee includes a patch per participant, the archery and bb courses, insur­ance, 2 Campfire programs, 2 Cracker Barrels (evening snack) and all the fun you can have.

How it Works

You move from station to station in 20 minute time increments. It will take a group 2 hours to go through the 6 sta­tions in order to complete both the shooting sports pin and the shooting sports belt loop requirements from start to finish on the range. Please arrive and check in at least 15 minutes before you are scheduled to begin your course.

Saturday—BB Range Class Times

1:00 pm, 1:20 pm, 1:40 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:20 pm, 2:40 pm

(15 scouts on each time slot allowed, 90 maximum total)

Sunday—Archery Range Class Times 1:00 pm, 1:20 pm, 1:40 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:20 pm, 2:40 pm

(10 scouts on each time slot allowed, 60 maximum total)
