The Trainer’s EDGE course is an opportunity to review the latest principles and techniques of modern BSA training using various methods and media. The Trainer’s EDGE will enable you to sharpen your skills and allow you to receive more information about the 2010 program.
EDGE training will provide ideas and training skills for anyone interested in serving on local district training teams for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing leader training. This event is especially designed for all youth and adult members of Summer Camp staff, NYLT staff, District Training teams, Pack Trainers, and anyone who would like to serve in any of these positions. EDGE training is a pre-requisite to be eligible for a Wood Badge Staff position. You are not required to currently serve as a training team member to attend. Enthusiastic, potential trainers at every level are always welcome.
You will have an opportunity to apply the skills learned to make a short presentation about a Scouting topic of your choice. You may wish to bring any materials you may need such as props, flip charts, markers, laptop, etc.
Registration should be returned to the Piedmont Council office by Friday, April 9th, 2010. Online registration is also available at www.piedmontcouncilbsa.org . Please encourage anyone who may be interested to attend this opportunity.
