SHOOTING SPORTS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 90 CUB SCOUTS! AFTER THE FIRST 90 THE EVENT WILL BE OPEN UP FOR ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS.
Ready for Spring? Time in the outdoors is what you need! We have what you are look for! Spend the weekend with your son and family at our beautiful Cub Camp on the Piedmont Scout Reservation in Rutherfordton, NC.
While at camp, you and your son will get to participate in activities such as fishing, hiking and crafts. In conjunction with this event, we will be offering the Archery & BB Belt Loop and Pin. There will be minimal free time available on ranges.
Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th. Participants are assigned to campsites based on the tent preference. Council-owned wall tents and platforms are provided on a first come, first served basis at a service chage of $2 per tent; (cots will not be provided, please bring sleeping mats or camping cots). Council tents can sleep up to three per tent. However, a family may choose to bring small personal tents. We are not able to put personal tents in the same sites as the council tents.
Check-out will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Shooting Sports Belt Loop and Pin Program How It Works
You move from station to station in 20 minute time increments. It will take a group 2 hours to go through the 6 stations in order to complete both the shooting sports pin and the shooting sports belt loop requirements from start to finish on the range. Please arrive and check-in at the range at least 15 minutes before you are scheduled to begin.
BB Range times begin at 9:00 a.m., 9:20 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 10:20 a.m., 10:40 a.m., 11:00 a.m. (MAX 90 Cub Scouts -12 per session) Times will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. You will be notified by email of your schedule.
Archery Range times begin at 1:00 p.m., 1:20 p.m., 1:40 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:20 p.m., 2:40 p.m., 3:00 p.m., (Max 90 Cub Scouts - 12 per session) Times will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. You will be notified by email of your schedule.
MEALS: - Saturday lunch is on your own. Be sure to bring a picnic meal to enjoy with your son. We will provide, with the cost of the event, Saturday evening meal and Sunday breakfast.
COST: The cost is $25.00 per person (This fee includes a patch per person, insurance, Saturday night dinner and Sunday breakfast)
